We've always wanted a red dress.

But somehow all the red dresses we've seen in our day look cheap and tawdry.

We're kind of loving the word tawdry.

The way it rolls off our tongue.

We want a red dress. A classy one.

Classy doesn't roll off the tongue as fun as tawdry.

But it's what a girl should be.

My best friend told me so.

FOUR

We want one.

To cuddle with.

We hate cuddling.

But we still want one.

Or maybe we should just borrow one.

If we had one, we'd still call him huckleberry finn.

And we'd love him forever and ever.

THREE

Occasionally, I eat my feelings.

Actually, I say I eat my feelings.

Because it's a great bestie bonding activity.

And we love our organized activities.

But really, when I have real feelings, it makes me want to stop eating.

So, in retrospect, thanks for the breakup ex-boyfriend.

It did the body good.

TWO

I've always wished I could sketch.

One of these days I'm going to learn how to sew.

And then I'm going to make my own clothes.

Or at least a dress.

For me and Candy.

To be clear, one for me and one for Candy.

ONE

I miss you best friend! I miss you when I meet cute boys, hang out with cute boys, need to vent about cute boys. I miss you when I need a fun long distance call post-bar night. But, I miss you the most when I pass by kids drinking caesars on the patio at Sunday brunch. Hope you're having a blast!

Change...

Love it or hate it, we can't seem to get away from it.

Sometimes it's quick. Sometimes gradual.

Sometimes we don't even realize it's happening until it's too late.

Or maybe until it's way better.

We've changed a lot.

Sometimes we're scared of it. Sometimes we welcome it with open arms.

Sometimes we need it, but we just don't know how to make it happen.

We can change our hearts. We can change our minds. We can change our future, but we can't change our past.

So we learn to embrace. Our present. Our future. Even our past.

Because our past created who we are. And our future remains filled with hope. And our present is, truly, the best gift we will ever get.
