Petite Thuet Day...

Fave!

We used to get the Wednesday Blues.

But not anymore, friends.

We refuse to participate in hump day.

We've officially re-branded Wednesday to Petite Thuet Day.

And we loves it.

One delicious coffee + a lovely pain au chocolat (but of course, with almonds) to go brightens any grey afternoon (and makes the sunny ones extra sparkly!)

We dare you to try it, lovelies.

A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.

Stick it on a Post-it...

We don't condone post-its for breakups, but we do propose post-its for breaking bad habits.

Lately, every time something hurts our feelings, or sparks our temper, or just sits the wrong way: we stick it on a post-it note.

And when we come back to said post-it a couple days later, if it's still bothering us, then we deal with it.

But by that time, we've calmed down and can deal with our feelings in a rationale manner.

Try it.

It's lovely.

x's & o's,
Leslie

Hard Fast Rules...

Not a fave.

Always isn't fair to anyone. Neither is never.

These days, we're living life one day at a time.

And we love it all the time.

We're feeling better about this than we've ever felt with the thousands of hard, fast rules & resolutions that we've made in the past.

So here's a cheers to cheat days, ever so often.

We're still good people.

We swear.

Lighten Up...

This man is a genius...

"If you ever have to say 'lighten up' to someone, you've failed twice. The first time, when you misjudged an interaction and the other person reacted in a way you're unhappy with, and the second time, when you issue this instruction, one that is guaranteed to evoke precisely the opposite reaction you're intending."

Can I get an Amen to removing lighten up, and settle down, and relax, and calm down from our vocabulary?

Three Words...

Not those three words.

Different words.

Classy words.

If you could only pick three beautiful words to describe yourself.

Which three words would you choose?

Understandably, it's a big commitment being dedicated to three small words.

But a great exercise to give consideration to who you've been and think ahead to who you want to be.

Because we should all remember.

The only person who can define you, is you.

Leslie

Best Friends Forever...

Sometimes it's nice to know we can learn from each others' mistakes, instead of making our own.

And that we can trade off being strong. Or being smart. Or following our heart. Or figuring out our feelings.

And it's always nice to know they're always there.

And they've always got your back.

Leslie

Checkmate...

Being a coordinator was frustrating.
Being a manager is challenging.

Challenging checkmates frustrating any day!
